They draw higher voltage from the motor batteries and drop it to a voltage level that is suitable for your receiver and servos. This is required in applications which draw high power for multiple servos or use more than 3S motor packs, as most ESCs with linear BECs are not designed for these applications Operating Specifications 10 amps peak** Max continuous current** 12 volts input = 7 amps 24 volts input = 5 amps Max Input Voltage - 2S - to 6S Adjustable Output Voltage - 4.8 - 9.0V Includes One (1) CC 10A BEC Size - 30x15x10mm Requires Soldering to your ESC power leads May require Programming The Castle Creations BECs are supplied witha default pass through voltage of 5.1V, this is safe for just about every RC appliance on the market.
Higher powered applications, such as HV servos, can work at higher voltages. If you program your BEC to your servos max (or your preferred) voltage you will get exactly what you want passing through to your equipment.
Select your voltage carefully Onetencrawlers will not be responsible if we program your voltage to your specified value and you let the smoke out.
**Ratings are determined with a 5mph airflow on the BEC.
